For none FMA fans:
No conditions whrere calculated for the equation as it is alchemy research based on the alchemy of 'Fullmetal Alchemist' so the energy requiements come from 'the gate' and all pressures and temperatures would be created by the transmutation circle.
It is branded science fiction ignore the bits about alchemy and it become pure science fact. I assure you that this equation would absolutely work in real life but the cost of producing the conditions requied for it would probably outweigh the value of the gold created as you'd probably need a nuclear reactor.

Don't be afraid to make things up since the circle is a theoretical test-tube that can hold any pressure and temperature under the sun and indeed at the heart of the sun, ha ha. So you can do anything without worrying about fussy little things like enthalpy or entropy.
